Administrative Manager & Producer for Svendborg Ballet Theatre

Will you take the lead in the production of new ballet performances and simultaneously help develop one of Denmark's most ambitious cultural institutions?

Svendborg BalletTeater is seeking a dedicated and proactive Administration Manager & Producer who can create the organisational, financial, and production frameworks for a professional ballet company in growth.

As Administration Manager & Producer, you will have a key role in the development and execution of the theatre's productions. You will be the central coordinator, linking artistic visions with finance, planning, touring activities, and collaborations – ensuring that ideas become performances that reach audiences in Denmark and the rest of Europe.

The role combines leadership with practical execution, offering a rare opportunity to work closely with the artistic creative process while contributing to the theatre's organisational and financial development.

Your role

You will become part of the theatre's management and will have overall responsibility for planning and coordinating the theatre's productions and touring activities.

In close collaboration with the artistic direction, you ensure that productions are carried out professionally, efficiently, and within the financial framework.

Your primary responsibilities

Production and touring

  • Overall responsibility for the planning and execution of the theatre's productions
  • Production planning, timelines and budgets
  • Coordinating artistic, technical, and administrative resources
  • Planning and execution of national tours and international engagements
  • Contract negotiations with dancers, choreographers, creative teams and suppliers
  • Ensuring efficient workflows and high quality throughout the entire production process
  • Further development of the theatre's production and touring capacity

Administration and Finance

  • Responsibility for the daily administration and operation
  • Budgeting, liquidity management, financial monitoring and reporting
  • Development of administrative processes and organisational structures

Development and partnerships

  • In collaboration with the rest of the management team, you will help to develop relationships with foundations, sponsors and public partners.
  • Representation of the theatre in relevant networks

  • Has experience in the production of performing arts (e.g. from a theatre, ballet or dance company).
  • Thrives at the intersection of artistic processes and organisational leadership
  • Has strong project management skills and financial understanding.
  • Good at creating structure and an overview of complex processes
